And I realize that the ebay item came used and might have been resold under false pretenses (it wouldn't be the first time that a bad product had been passed along-"it was fine when shipped: must have happened in transit"). If it had been only one bad experience, I might attribute it to an outlier. I'm not going to bother to even try to get in touch with the "service" center after my last experience. So, now I have a clock radio with a radio that doesn't work. This time, the light worked (thankfully), but I found that the radio volume drops to nothing after 10 minutes of play (consistently). I then decided to go to ebay to get a replacement (there were several on offer for about what the cost of the repair would have been). So, I had a $300.00 clock radio on my hands that I could not see in the dark. So, in fact, they DON'T actually provide repair service, it seems. When I said that I would like to proceed, they then informed that they don't repair the clock light (it's too hard). Despite Rockport Radio, the "authorized" repair service for Tivloi products, advertising on their website that they can replace the light source in the clock if they're doing repairs, when contacted to repair the light on my radio I was quoted a price (something like $85.00) for a repair. Given the insane price of the Tivoli 3, I figured that a repair would be worthwhile. Calling Tivloi support rendered zero help, particularly since the warranty had run out. 18 months later, the light in the illuminated clock failed. I purchased a Tivoli Three clock radio in 2017.
